Researchers from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) have developed a humanoid robot to regulate the traffic using AI. He should primarily make the school’s way of school safer.

Experts from the Slovak Technical University then evaluated the reactions and movement data. The focus was on the question: Do children accept the robot? Do you understand his signals? According to KIT, the first impressions are promising.

A robot for “Vision Zero”?

The tests are intended to show how such AI systems can be used in the future in front of schools, at highly frequented transitions or in complex traffic situations. In addition, the results should flow into the further development of robotics, but also in traffic education and urban planning.
