This corresponds to a minus of 13.8 percent compared to the previous year. 47,163 new registration were electric cars (BEV) – with a share of 18.4 percent. Compared to the same month in the previous year, this corresponds to an increase of 8.6 percent.

Hybrid vehicles with 38.6 percent (98,940) had the largest proportion among the new registrations in June 2025. Petrol engine is in second place at 28.4 percent (73,041). Only then do cars with diesel drive (35,665) follow with 13.9 percent.
The increase in new registrations among the electric cars is likely to be due to falling battery and manufacturer prices as well as tax breaks.
