The “US INITAL Quality Study” is based on customer feedback of 92,694 buyers and leases and is supplemented by hundreds of thousands of repair data from workshops and car dealerships.
The car brands with the most problems
The 2025 study worked out four points:
- Premium cars have more defects than cars for the mass market: High -quality vehicles have an average of 4.2 problems more than cheaper alternatives.

In tenth place in the ranking of the cars with the most problems, Mercedes-Benz joins. The Swabian luxury car maker follows the trend of susceptible premium cars and comes up 210 problems per 100 vehicles.
